A new responsible gaming app dubbed BetBlocker has launched this week, allowing punters to control certain gaming behaviors through their Android devices.
The new product will be compatible with more than 5,900 betting websites, restricting access to the sites and associated apps. The app allows punters the opportunity to block access for periods ranging from 24 hours to 5 years, with access not permitted until the period passes. The app is free, whereas the company claims other competing apps charge subscription fees to customers.
Speaking about the service BetBlocker's Duncan Garvie said, "With more and more people accessing gambling via their mobile devices it is more important than ever that there is a resource available for those who feel that gambling is getting on top of them to take action to help themselves limit their exposure to this addictive activity. Restricting gambling apps further improves our service for Android users, limiting one more avenue of access."
The app is available for download on the Google Play Store.
