This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Betting group 1xBet has announced that they've signed a sponsorship deal with FC Barcelona of LaLiga, getting exclusive access to marketing opportunities.

The deal will be for five years and will run through the 2023-2024 season, making 1xBet an Official Global Partner of the club. The deal will see 1xBet able to use the club's logo in promotional communications as well as tailor exclusive marketing campaigns to the team's fans. The agreement isn't the first for 1xBet, as the group has deals in place with EPL club Tottenham Hotspur.

Commenting on the deal 1xBet's Alex Sommers said, "We are certain that 1xBet has something to offer to all FC Barcelona fans; we expect that the cooperation of two world-class brands will be lucrative for both parties."

FC Barcelona Head of Commercial Josep Pont added: "We are convinced that this deal with 1xBet will help us to continue to grow both on and off the field.

"This deal consolidates our global expansion strategy and we are sure that it will help us to connect with new sports fans all around the world."

Yeah, I wonder how much that deal costed to the bookie, surely a lot.

But of course they should be delighted by the deal when their name will be mentioned along that of Barcelona.
