Switzerland Issues Four Online Licenses

This week the Switzerland Federal Council approved the first four online betting licenses in the country, giving four land groups the opportunity to offer games online.

The online gaming market is set to go live on July 1st, and now the Grand Casino Baden, Grand Casino Davos, Grand Casino Lucerne, and Pfaffikon can offer games of chance via the internet. The applications had previously been approved of by the Federal Gaming Commission, but now are completely approved for operation.

There are 21 land casinos in Switzerland, and many of these groups have license applications in.
