This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Online poker giant PokerStars wants you to strap on your gloves and earn some cauliflower ears, as they've re-branded their KO Poker Series into the UFC KO Poker Series, taking advantage of the group's partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The name change will be effective on June 23rd, and will bring a new name along with new design, and sound effects. The UFC KO Poker Series will have a tournament even launch on the same day and will run through June 30th.

Commenting on the change Stars Interactive Group CMO Christopher Coyne noted: "Knockouts are synonymous with both poker and UFC. Our new game and the UFC KO Poker Series have all the ingredients to get both PokerStars and UFC audiences excited to join us in the virtual Octagon for more thrills, more entertainment and more exciting rewards. We're looking forward to seeing who will be crowned our UFC poker champions!"
