The Oregon State Lottery has announced that they've signed a contract with to power the state-sanctioned sportsbook.

The agreement will see SBTech helping to power both the online and retail books for the state, with a deployment date in time for the launch of the NFL season. The group will have sportsbetting kiosks that can be deployed at different event locations. The choice of SBTech was an easy one for the Oregon Lottery, as the sports specialist has powered legalized sportsbooks for clients around the world.

The state has legalized the activity, going along with other states who're taking advantage of the Supreme Court throwing out the sportsbetting ban in the United States. There has been a question as to whether or not mobile sportsbetting will be available, as an amendment has been proposed to restrict betting to devices that are owned or leased by the Oregon State Lottery.

We'll be following this story and letting readers know when we learn more.
