The UK Gambling Commission is reportedly investigating retail and online betting firm Ladbrokes after they were accused of multiple instances of wrongdoing related to sportsbetting and advertising.
Ladbrokes has been accused of manipulating their sportsbetting interfaces in an attempt to limit skilled punters from getting their wagers instantly. The group has also been accused of customer profiling, where they look for players that could be potentially lucrative and then lure them to gamble with exclusive promotions. Often these lucrative gamblers were losers, with winning players not being extended any type of promotion and in some cases had their accounts closed.
These applications have been substantiated by The Daily Record, who claims to have leaked documents that show the policy. For their part, Ladbrokes denies the claims, saying that the information is outdated and that they don't do business like this anymore.
The UKGC is the country's gaming regulator, and they've done a solid job of investigating and enforcing issues related to the betting industry. If Ladbrokes is found to have violated the UK's betting laws, they face large fines and the (slim) possibility of losing their gaming license. We'll be following this story and update readers as we learn more.

Ha-ha ...so they've admited they've done that before...!!
I've heard even before some of this accusations about Ladbrokes and if most of these being proved in court I think the punishment could be only one...license taken and why not even a huge fine on top of that.
This are one of the most serious violations you could make as a sportsbook, the bookies have the upper-hand over the players because of their own terms anyway so doing even one of these should be considered as a criminal act in my opinion.
Sounds like Ladbrokes is doing the same thing as just about every other bookie or casino.

Do you believe so Ed?
I know the bookies 'have their ways" to take an advantage but some of these sound too unfair to me...like to think that not all of them doing most of the above mentioned 'manipulations".
