Partypoker Adds Snooker Star to Sponsorship List

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Online poker group partypoker has signed former professional snooker player Stephen Hendry to a sponsorship deal, becoming a brand ambassador for the company.

The announcement came through Hendry's social media accounts, where he posted up his gameplay report from the group. In addition to working as a brand ambassador, Hendry is actually playing cash games, participating in nearly 1,000 hands when he posted the announcement.

The tweet can be viewed below:

Hendry is a seven-time World Champion and is currently retired, having stopped playing in 2012. This means that he likely has some time on his hands to hone his poker craft.

It looks like he's doing a good job of playing solid poker. Good on him finding something to do in retirement.

Yeah I knew Steven Hendry is serious about poker but he might appear to be better than I thought...good luck to him, if his poker skills mach just 10% of the snooker talent he got he'll be a really decent poker player.
