PokerStars to Deal 200 Billionth Hand

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Internet poker giant PokerStars is getting set to deal out its 200 billionth hand of poker in the coming weeks, and they're giving away $1 million through an assortment of promotions.

The group is setting off the promotions across all of their global brands, including the New Jersey and European markets. The group hasn't celebrated a major milestone in the last six years, and they're bringing out the different promotions in order to create a marketing buzz. Any punters who're dealt into the milestone hand will each get $10,000 in cash.

PokerStars said that they're expected to deal out the hand on May 1st, but the promotions are currently underway.

Wow, now that is a number that doesn't get mentioned very often. Pokerstars came at the perfect time, and they've done very good at maintaining that momentum . . . .sort of lol, much better than the others I'm going to assume.

Yeah they've certainly cemented their place as top dog. It's interesting that they don't seem to be making as big a stink as they have for past milestones. Maybe for 500 billion, eh?

Oh I bet that milestone hand isnt dealt on May 1st at all, pushing it any further than the 2nd and you risk pissing people off I think, but to have tons of players storm the tables the days leading up to, and May 1st, I'm betting most would stick around through May 2nd for that chance to win.
It would be a little shady for Pokerstars to do that, but I don't think anyone will really care to much. Just my assumption with all of that lol

wow... i remeber the first few times i played at stars... before that i played only at the smaller networks eg microgaming or ipoker. I couldn't believe the huge amount of players online at the same time... 200 billion hands is really unbelievable

I have found myself playing a lot more poker these last few days at Pokerstars lol if the table is random, ( probably influenced a little bit ) then I figured I would give myself a chance at being on that table. That would be a hand to remember, get dealt your cards and then 10 grand drops into your lap.
