Casino game developer Play'n GO has announced the release of their newest online video slot 'Mahjong 88', which is a reactor style game that plays heavily on the popular tile game.
Mahjong 88 is an 8 reel, 8 row reactor style slot that takes place over a pond, where a frog sits on a sidebar looking at the tiles as you play. The game sees you trying to have four or more like symbols touching each other to combine for a win. The winning symbols are then removed and replaced by new tiles, allowing you to try and rack together additional combinations in order to win.
Features in the game include the frog bringing you some extra juice on the reels in the way of either tonguing, hopping on, croaking, or spawning on the game board. Here you'll see symbols transformed and give you a chance to win big. There are also wild tiles, and various seasons that progress randomly, allowing you the chance to win a bonus when the season is completed. Players who get more than 88 tiles removed supercharge the game, seeing your winnings multiplied by a factor of 5.
The game has a posted RTP of 96.62% and can be played on desktop and mobile devices. Mahjong 88 is available now at casinos offering Play'n GO's library.

I actually quite like Mahjong and was geeked to see a game with the theme on offer. While I'm bummed I didn't get to actually play Mahjong, this is still a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

I have noticed that recently Playn Go have started to release these type of games, it's kind of their way of having megaways slots like BTG, but with these "temples" so to speak. I did like one of their latest games called Contact which seems to be similar to this one, so I'll give it a try.
Quite surprised to see they've made this kind of a slot, never been a too much of a Mahjong games fan my self but it definitely not too exploited of a theme when it comes to slots games so I'm curious about that one.
