Betting group Matchbook this week announced that they've signed a three year sponsorship with the York Racecourse and will become the Official Betting Partner of the Dante Festival as a result.
The group will sponsor a series of races, including the Yorkshire Cup, and will get the ability to have signage and offer exclusive marketing promotions to patrons. The deal will go for three years and the consideration paid for the naming rights was not available as of press time. Matchbook is an online betting brand that's licensed in both the UK and Alderney, and offers a full sportsbook, casino, and live dealer casino to their customers.
Commenting on the deal Matchbook CEO Mark Brosnan shared: "We are delighted to be expanding our horse racing sponsorship portfolio with this three year commitment to the Dante Festival and particularly with such an historic race as the Matchbook Yorkshire Cup. This comes at a key time of the year for us with the flat season really getting going and Royal Ascot a matter of weeks away."
York Racecourse Head of Marketing James Brennan added: "The Yorkshire Cup is a famous contest and will benefit from the long term support of the innovative brand that is Matchbook. Their support over two days of the prestigious Dante Festival is much welcomed."
