Playtech and GVC Sign Content Extension Agreement

This story was published more than 5 years ago.

Internet betting brand GVC Holdings announced this week that they've extended their relationship with Playtech and will continue using the developer's products through at least 2025.

The extension will see Ladbrokes Coral, PartyPoker, bwin, and other brands continuing to have access to Playtech's slots, table games, video poker machines, and other products. The agreement also will see the two working in the United States, as GVC and MGM Resorts have an existing content agreement. Retail sportsbetting terminals for Ladbrokes shops powered by Playtech will also continue.

Commenting on the agreement GVC CEO Kenneth Alexander said, "Even more of our customers will now be able to enjoy content from one of the world's leading suppliers of high-quality gaming product. At the same time the added flexibility around migration of technology platforms enables us to accelerate the integration of Ladbrokes Coral."

Playtech CEO Mor Weizer also commented, adding: "We are pleased to have reached a new agreement with GVC, which expands on the successful partnership we have established with Ladbrokes Coral over the last six years.

"This is testament to the strength of the Playtech proposition and we look forward to supporting GVC over the coming years."

Rarely we could hear of so long-term deals being signed in this business but obviously the partnership between two of the industry giants has been so prolific for both of those that no wonder they extended till 2025.
