A New Jersey man betting online turned $20 into $178,000 after he placed 15 basketball bets in the form of a parlay, becoming the largest win for the bet style at FanDuel since they began accepting sports wagers last year.
The man placed a series of different bets on professional and college basketball games, the combined odds giving him the big payout. He bet on the outcomes of halves of games, as well as money lines. The traditional NBA bets were of the safer variety, picking the favorites for the different outcomes, but the NCAA bets are where he raked in his money, picking obscure games to get to the huge win amount.
Speaking about the win FanDuel spokesman Kevin Hennessy shared: "It's definitely the biggest parlay win. Most parlays are two to five games. He just kept going."
"It was probably knowing Davidson [College Wildcats] was going to beat [the University of] Rhode Island" that drove the parlay over the top. That's not something a normal New Jersey bettor would know. You would probably have to do a lot of research for that."
"To win $178,000 for the stake of $20, to me that's the impressive part."

That's a very impressive win, or maybe it's one awesome accidental bet that turned out in the guys favor. If you ask me, those are the kinds of bets that a person just throws games into , without actually knowing much about the sport or games at all.
Its not only awesome but also a miracle has been coming, i know its too hard to betting sports because if we want high possible winning we can only betting with the low odd, but we need take high risk if we want something are incredible...
Of course that's a combination of luck and research for this guy/girl...15 games that's quite a number for any parlay even when most of those have been a lower odds (obviously not in this case).
Well done to this punter for the courage...and probably a bit of madness...it's usually quite easy to predict 13 or 14 right when your staking 15 game parlay 🙂
I don't really play sports betting at all and don't know how it works. But this win is too unbelievable 🙂
