Last year a lucky person won the massive $1.5 billion Mega Millions lottery jackpot, but to date, the prize hasn't been claimed, leaving just a short time for someone to come forward.
The winner has until 5pm on April 19th to claim the prize, otherwise the money will be split up 46 ways to states and territories that offer the game. The winning ticket was bought in South Carolina, and the ticket must be claimed at the state's lottery office in Columbia. If the winner doesn't claim the ticket, the state would also give up $61 million in tax revenues, which would go to various projects in the Palmetto State.
The big prize is the second-largest jackpot in lottery history, coming in roughly $500,000 behind the Powerball jackpot, but that was split between three winners.

Wow..that's a huge news...I think...I doubt that the guy/girl is not aware of the fact that he/she have won the Jack..isn't it?!?
I guess all the locals plus the medias have been talking of that for months...
Can't believe that punter would wait till the very last day for gaining his winnings.. being too cautious or something..could in fact the winner had lost his ticket...wow...that would be something...can't think of any other reason right now...
Imagine someone has lost the winning ticket...

I think the amount is calculated from all small wins that the owner does not claim. for example someone gets a match and wins 2$ - 10$.
maybe someone lost a ticket like I read in an article.
Yeah I could imagine that very clearly if the winner is absent as me...but imagine someone else to find it!!
Whatever it is it doesn't seems logical...even if he/she really like the drama...no one would of be thaat calm waiting till the last minute and risking that fortune...I guess!?!
