Betting giant Bet365 has announced that they've filed a lawsuit against Bulgarian betting group Betio for theft of intellectual property.
The lawsuit came after the ICE Expo in London, when they claim they were hit with attendees saying that they noticed visual similarities in branding and product lines. This extends to the colors and text, which look nearly identical between the two. Bet365 says that they did an investigation after hearing these accusations, and they ended up filing a lawsuit to compel Betio to change their branding.
Speaking about the case a Bet365 spokesperson said, "We decided to initiate appropriate legal actions to protect our intellectual property rights, which in our opinion were violated in this case."
As of press time, Betio hasn't spoken on the case, and they haven't removed the close color scheme or text that spurred the case. The company launched in 2016 and has been operating legally in Bulgaria, holding a gaming license in the country.
We'll be following the story and letting readers know about the outcome of the case.

This looks pretty blatant to me, hard to see Betio getting away with this for too long...
sharpe
Honestly it's the first time that I'm hear of Betio as a gambling company but there's a gambling site here quite similar to the Bet365's one (without being completely identical) so I guess that might be of Betio ownership so I hope Bet 365 would be successful in the pursuit of the local plagiarists here.
