Spanish online betting software developer Red Rake Gaming has announced that they've been granted a UK online gaming license by the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, which will let the company enter the market.
The license is a Remote Gambling Software certificate, which allows Red Rake to provide a number of their video slots and table games to online casino operators that are also licensed in the country. The company had their software audited by outside parties in order to obtain certification for the country. There is a second batch of software being tested at this time, which will be offered down the line.
Speaking about the licensing Red Rake's Nick Barr said, "Acquiring the licences to operate in the UK market is a great step in our regulated strategy for 2019. It will have an immediate impact as many of our customers have UKGC licences and they will be able now to offer our games to their UK player base. We are also excited by the opportunities that's the new license comes with and can proceed with many of the UK operators who have already requested our content. We are also very proud of obtaining the UKGC license as it is testimony of our commitment to responsible gaming and transparency of which the UKGC have the highest standards."
