This week gaming software firm Playtech announced that they've launched the enhanced Playtech Open Platform this week, which serves as an aggregate for the distribution of casino games.

The platform will be integrated with the company's IMS platform and lets casino clients use the Playtech Engagement Centre. The platform will bring a slew of developers into one piece of software, including IGT, Blueprint Gaming, Red Tiger, and more. A marketplace option is also in the software, allowing operators to custom tailor the software they want to offer to their customers.

"Playtech's technology continues to serve as the architecture of the betting and gaming industry for operators and content providers," said Playtech COO Shimon Akad. "POP will cement Playtech's status as the platform and technology provider of choice in the industry by bringing unparalleled access and integration capabilities to users. Combined with Marketplace and GPAS, we are looking at the future of content creation & discovery for the industry."

One of the first operators to use the new platform is Buzz Bingo, whose CEO Chris Matthews said, "Our partnership with Playtech has the potential to be a game-changer. The new platform takes us to the next level and will allow us to deliver a significantly enhanced player journey across both retail and digital. We're really excited about what's ahead as we continue to develop our offer."
