Legendary New York arena Madison Square Garden has filed a trademark with the US Patent and Trademark Office for its MSG brand that could be used for sportsbetting services.
The group filed the application, wherein they request that MSG be trademarked for downloadable apps for sportsbetting, as well as anything to do with sportsbetting tournaments. The mobile section of the trademark also applies to mobile fantasy sports leagues, eSports, news, previews, alerts, replays, video clips, and information. Other references to social media and online gambling services are also included, and it appears that the company is looking to cover as many of their bases as possible.
Madison Square Garden is the home for the NHL team New York Rangers as well as the NBA's New York Knicks, and stands as one of the most well-known venues in the world. New York State hasn't legalized sportsbetting or internet gambling just yet, but it appears likely that it's something will happen in the near future, as neighboring states are jumping on to offer the service.
We're keeping up on the developments of betting regulation the United States, including New York, and will update readers as we learn more.

Yeah...who doesn't heard of Madison Square Garden all across the world really.
If the MSG brand being approved of offering sports bets after the gambling being legalized you'd potentially could go and see a Rangers game for example and meanwhile placing a bets for the same game you're watching live...that would it be cool I think.
