IGT MegaJackpots Progressive Hit for £1,413,750

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Earlier today a punter playing an online video slot from IGT hit it big when they won the company's MegaJackpots Progressive for a large £1,413,750 cash prize.

We're awaiting details on the score, but our jackpot tracker picked up the win roughly a half hour before the publication of this article, and it becomes the 42nd win for the game since we started following the prize ten years ago. The average jackpot win value for the prize is £855,192, and the largest prize recorded is £2,148,947. This prize is large enough and it comes in as the third largest in the jackpot's history.

The IGT MegaJackpots online progressive is the digital version of the popular land jackpot offered in casinos around the world. The jackpot's value grows with every spin of the reels, and is awarded completely randomly.

We'll update readers as we learn more.

I always hear about the IGT MegaJackpots at land casinos, and I imagine it's a big draw for players. Do you think we'll ever get to a day where we see a combined jackpot pool for online and land players?

Quite a thought Slim...I don't know but I really hope it's possible...these days when all systems are computerized I think it won't be too hard for that to be set from a technical perspective but I guess it's all question of licenses and regulations and whether the casinos would be interested of doing it.
I guess there's a good chance they didn't even thought of that before but for the players it could bring nothing but a positivities I guess, in the end more players should be equal to a bigger Jackpots...and who would of refuse that no matter if they are an online or a land players.

I can't see why not, assuming the regulators were ok with it. There is no reason why the games at land casinos couldn't be just internet connected dumb terminals that are playing the online versions of the games.

That's quite a win! I don't really play IGT games but whenever I read about the big jackpot wins, it makes me wonder..maybe it's my time to give them more decent try?
