This week the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City announced that they're investing $11 million to fund a new sportsbook area on their property.
The book will bring a lounge that includes sportsbetting terminals, bar, and lounge for punters to get their wagers in on events around the world. The Borgata began offering wagers on events last year, becoming the first casino to offer the bets in the state. The casino also has mobile sports wagering, which lets you play on your phone or tablet.
Commenting on the new investment Borgata COO Marcus Glover said, "Since Borgata arrived in the Atlantic City market more than 15 years ago, we have maintained a steadfast dedication to property growth and development, with our new concept exemplifying this objective."
"We are proud to have been at the forefront of legalized sports betting in New Jersey and look forward to advancing our product with an innovative gaming and entertainment experience for our guests to enjoy."
No timetable for the lounge's release was available as of press time.
