Internet betting firm Gaming Innovation Group announced this week that they've applied for a Spanish gaming license, which will grant the company the ability to offer sportsbetting and casino games in the country should the licenses be approved.
The application will be put toward sportsbetting and casino services, as well as business to business platforms that can be used to provide games to more customers in Spain. GiG currently has licenses in the UK, Malta, German, and U.S. state of New Jersey. If granted a license, Spain would be exceptionally lucrative for the company, as they would hold licenses in all of the internet betting verticals within the country.
No comment on the application was made by the company as of press time, but Casino Listings News will follow this story as the application process pays out.

GIG is just the last of a number of gambling companies who entered the Spanish market lately and I guess all of those realize how much of a fast growing and perspective opportunities it offers as a huge and solvent populated country.
