Stars Rewards Loyalty Program Launches in New Jersey

This story was published more than 5 years ago.

Online betting firm The Stars Group announced this week that they've launched their Stars Rewards program in New Jersey, allowing punters in the market to claim exclusive perks at PokerStars poker room and casino.

The move will see Stars transitioning from their standard program to the new one, as the old system was causing headaches for the company. The new program has daily rewards for players, and takes into account frequency, stakes placed, and net deposits to calculate rewards. Players who accrue enough points will then be allowed to have a chest, which can include cash, free bets, tournament entries, and more.

Commenting on the launch PokerStars Head of Loyalty Dylan Coady said, "The majority of the NJ playerbase will be receiving more with Stars Rewards than the previous VIP Club. This is especially true if they play more than just poker."

The company is promoting the launch of the new program with $250,000 set aside for punters. The promotions will see $1,000 in random chests, and other prizes with high value as well.

Stars Rewards is active now if you're located within New Jersey.

Hopefully the new reward system will be generous toward the players but it seems to me the rewards 'd be given in quite random style which I'm not sure is a good thing.
But saying that probably many of the users would be tempted to open some of those chests.
