Joker Millions Jackpot Won for €7,831,370

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Over the weekend a punter playing Yggdrasil's Joker Millions slot took home the game's progressive jackpot for a huge €7,831,370 cash prize.

The jackpot is the largest ever in the game's history, and the ninth ever for the jackpot. It easily eclipses the previous record €5,196,319, which was hit at Norges Automaten last year. The game's average prize won is €2,987,808, and is hit every 18 weeks on average.

The Joker Millions prize is won when a player is able to fill all of the symbol slots with the joker symbol. The prize grows with every non-winning spin of the reels, and is set off completely randomly.

We'll update this story as we learn more.

UPDATE: We have learned that the jackpot was won by a Swedish punter at LeoVegas. The site's Head of Casino James Ford said, "What a record win! Progressives like this always create excitement. We've been keeping a close eye on this one in anticipation that it would drop. We're really happy it was triggered at LeoVegas and pass a huge congratulations on to our lucky player."

Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist added: "We are thrilled to see a player win such a life-changing sum of money, especially this close to Christmas and while playing one of our slots games on mobile. Joker Millions is our first progressive slot and it is beloved by both operators and players. With more operators continuing to join the Yggdrasil network, the jackpot will be building up again quickly."

Cause they can afford to chasing them harder I guess cause it's in the fact one of the most solvent markets out there plus the fact all the leading brands are quite interested advertising their Jackpots in Sweden as well, which makes those quite popular and more play=more wins I recon.

Or it's just too many lucky b****ds there! 😂
