Betclic Everest Gets Polish Gaming License

This story was published more than 5 years ago.

Internet betting group Betclic Everest has been granted a Polish gaming license by the country's Ministry of Finance, opening them up to offer services in the country.

The move is a complete 180 from just a few months ago, when Betclic had their domains added to a blacklist, forbidding Poles from accessing the casino and sportsbook. The ministry has sanctioned Betclic for sportsbetting services, making the group one of ten sanctioned online betting sites in the country.

Poland only allows for online sportsbetting services to be offered by outside companies, with casino games only available through the state-owned Totalizator Sportowy group.

No comment from Betclic on the licensing was available as of press time.

I don't think any government would have anything in mind against any gambling operator as long as they work under regulation and paying all the local taxes, well at least in Central and Eastern Europe anyway.
But that could be a huge news for Betclic's business as Poland is a large market.
