ATG Adds NetEnt, Yggdrasil to Online Betting Library

This story was published more than 5 years ago.

Swedish horseracing group ATG is looking to get into online casino gambling when the market liberalizes next year, and they've signed content deals with NetEnt and Yggdrasil gaming to bolster their library.

The games will see both groups supplying their suite of casino games to ATG, which include slot machines, table games, and more. ATG has been in business for nearly 50 years, and they're just now reaching into the casino market, which is poised to be very lucrative in Sweden, where offshore operators have thrived for years. The group currently holds more than 2 million customers in the country.

Commenting on the agreement ATG CPO Mikael Backe said, "Our ambition at ATG is to create a responsible and exciting casino experience with long-lasting relations to our customers."

NetEnt CPO Henrik Fagerlund added: "ATG has a very strong brand in Sweden, and with our experience in online casino and regulated markets I am confident that we can support ATG in their ambitions to grow outside of horse racing."

Regulated online casino play is expected to launch at the beginning of 2019.

As they said...better later than never..

I think it's obvious they've should of done that earlier but maybe they weren't innovative and brave enough to do it, anyway it's not everyday we could hear as a horseracing group which planning to operate as a casino too.
