Yggdrasil Releases 'Wolf Hunters' Slot

This story was published more than 5 years ago.

Swedish casino game developer Yggdrasil Gaming has announced that they've released their newest video slot 'Wolf Hunters', which sees players tracking down werewolves for large cash bounties.

The game is a 5 reel, 20 payline video slot that is set back in Victorian times, where players hunt for vicious werewolves. The game has a dark and brooding theme to it, and brings wilds, re-spins, free spins, sticky wilds, and more. The game has three types of free spin modes, which bring extra features during the spins to enhance the win potential. The slot is available for play on both desktop and mobile devices, with no drop in quality between the platforms.

A video preview of the game can be seen below:

Commenting on the launch Yggdrasil Head of Slots Jonas Strandman said, "This game has a great deal going for it, but the first thing people will notice is the amazing ambience, which really draws you in to the game. The theme, sound effects, animations come together to create a unique world, where players will enjoy spending their time.

"In addition to a great audio-visual experience, Wolf Hunters also delivers outstanding game mechanics - the regular respins and a good chance of monster wins within base play, plus attractive collections, keep players constantly involved and engaged, while also giving them a longer goal to strive for. These elements all combine to make a game that players will thoroughly enjoy and that we are truly proud of!"

I've played this machine in Video Slots and already had 2 decent wins on $0.80 bets due to the rapid build up of both of the Wolf Hunter meters. Once these meters have filled up the 10 spins awarded landed me near on $400 each time. I'm halfway through killing the wolf so looking forward to his demise because I would say that the freespins awarded for that would be rather healthy indeed.

The theme and animations in this slot are great. Nice smooth play and frequent features to keep the boosting the kitty which is what we hope but more often than not usually disappoints once you get a decent win on a slot. This one (for me at least) was very consistent during the four hours that I played it.
Overall I am impressed with this slot and for now, enjoying it immensely.

Looks like with the autumn months we have a lot of new dark themed slot releases. I'm all for it, I am really digging this theme.
