Oregon Lottery Rolls Out App

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

This month the Oregon Lottery launched a mobile betting app that will allow for players to participate in online lottery services, with the option for mobile sportsbetting in the future.

The app went live on the Apple App Store on September 11th, and lets players on their iPhones or iPads to participate in online lottery services. The lottery states that they're working on an Android version of the software, which is expected in November. The option for sportsbetting is lucrative, and the framework is in place as Oregon was grandfathered in for sportsbetting in PASPA, which was overturned by the Supreme Court earlier this yar.

Oregon has a slew of traditional betting destinations, with 24 card rooms and tribal casinos included. The state is working on expanding their gaming systems, although its unknown whether or not they're considering adding traditional casino games to the iGaming space.

If I was situated in Oregon that would be definitely an app to download, especially because of the eventual mobile sportsbetting option that would be added later on but even because the lotteries you might be involved through it sounds well enough on it's own.
