Gambling giant International Game Technology announced last week that they've launched their Wide Area Progressive jackpots in the United States, allowing their MegaFortune progressive to be offered in the state of New Jersey.
The move will see the MegaJackpots, Cleopatra and Mega Jackpots Siberian Storm being the first progressive prizes to go live. Within the state of New Jersey, the prize will be offered at four different casinos, which will all share value among them, as well as the opportunity to haul in the prize. IGT is starting these prizes at $500,000, and they will grow with every non-jackpot winning spin of the reels.
New Jersey has seen a lot of growth with their gambling industry lately, as sportsbetting recently launched and online betting continues to thrive, as punters look for new ways to get in on the action.
Commenting on the launch IGT's Enrico Drago said, "Launching the first cross-platform online WAP games in the U.S. reinforces IGT's commitment and leadership in delivering 'industry-first' innovation that elevates the player experience across multiple channels. IGT's MegaJackpots games continue to entertain players in the UK and other mature digital gaming markets around the world, and we believe our customers in New Jersey will benefit from incorporating life-changing jackpots on proven themes such as Cleopatra and Siberian Storm into their digital content offerings."
