This week the Belarus Tax Ministry revealed that online gambling will go live in their country beginning in April of 2019.
The ministry revealed that there'll be a two year transition period after the regulations go live, with licenses able to be applied for beginning on April 1st, 2019. There will be strict regulations in place, including segregating funds to cover for player winnings. Punters will have to be 21 or older, and there will be identity verification processes required.
Speaking about the new market, the country's Deputy Tax and Duties Minister Vladimir Mukvich said, "This will be done not with the aim of minimising the number of facilities, but to provide maximum protection to the players."
The country is initially not predicting a large influx of applications, but its likely that there will a healthy number of licenses eventually.

Pretty long process of regulating the activity which took full 2 years but I like the approach of the local government in their try players to be maximum protected, which should be the prerogative of any government out there.
