This week the government of Belarus officially sanctioned legalized online gambling, as President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree authorizing the activity.
The new law will allow for online gambling while also making the minimum age to participate 21, rather than the standard 18. Additionally, operators will be required to put funds in a segregated account to hold winnings and taxes as a method to protect players and the state. Payment systems will also be implemented that allows the government to monitor transactions.
The bill also changes some land casino laws as well, with casinos being required to implement new surveillance systems and implement methods to make sure that players don't lend money to other punters.
No details on the tax amounts in the bill or timetable for implementation was available as of press time. Casino Listings News will keep up on this story and update readers as we learn more about the implementation process.

I'm sure that this will be a big change for gaming in Belarus and I'm interested to see which operators will enter the market. The age limit of 21 is something I have seen before so that's not unusual.
I like the 21 rule for gambling they've implemented, although that could be a bit hypocritical fro my side cause I started gambling way before 21, even way before 18 to be fair as there wasn't an exact rules back then for that here.
The local players should be happy about it and I could understand that of course.
