Trump Impeachment Odds Surge After Putin Meeting

This story was published more than 6 years ago.

The odds of U.S. President Donald Trump have surged after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with Paddy Power shifting the odds to 2/1.

Trump took the side of Russia, despite his intelligence agencies strongly alleging that Russian agents interfered with the 2016 General Election. The conference and meeting were widely considered to be a disaster for his administration. The statements by Trump were condemned by both major political parties, with some politicians calling for translators to testify what was actually said by both parties.

Irish book Paddy Power shifted the odds of Trump being impeached from 8/1 to 2/1, with the odds of it happening this year shifting from 12/1 to 2/1. This means that its now a favorite proposition for him to be impeached, which would cause issues in of itself.

Commenting on the issue a Paddy Power Spokesman said, "After the carnage of the last few days, we've seen plenty of punters Putin money on Trump's impeachment again-although I'm sure they'll soon get a message, in Russian, urging them to stop."

Well, I'm not interested in politics at all and I don't care really but it's look like Trump would stay at his job for a full mandate and at least I wouldn't bet against that, but maybe I'm just not aware.
