Daily fantasy sports group FanDuel has announced that they've partnered with International Game Technology to help power their sportsbetting platform within the state of New Jersey.
The move comes shortly after FanDuel and the Meadowlands Racetrack launched their sportsbook, which in turn came just after the company's acquisition by Paddy Power Betfair US was completed. The full trading and risk management and pricing strategies used by Paddy Power Betfair has been integrated into the new platform, which makes operating the book painless for the track.
Eventually, the books aim to offer kiosks that will allow for direct bets to be placed as well as mobile options that allow for bets via mobile phones or tablets.
Commenting on the agreement FanDuel CEO Matt King said, "When we evaluated sports betting platform provider partners in the US, IGT was the ideal choice, based on the company's proven history in the space and the quality, reliability and flexibility of the sports betting technology that it has deployed for customers around the world."
IGT Senior VP of Interactive, Sportsbetting, and Licenses Enrico Drago also commented, noting: "As sports betting in the US continues to evolve, IGT is prepared to address the needs of its partners through proven solutions and technologies that can be deployed today to advance sports betting across land-based and mobile platforms."
