A bit of news that was missed over the Easter holiday from online betting site GalaBingo was revealed this week, as the group shared that they offered a live stream hatching of eggs, where they accepted bets on which eggs would come.
The company held the event for the second time. seeing 49 eggs incubated for 21 days at a charity farm. The site then allowed punters to enter a competition to see which six eggs would hatch first, as they were marked with numbers. The winning punter took home £350 worth of Thomas Cook vouchers as well as a Hotel Chocolat Family Hamper.
The hatching was broadcast on the Gala Bingo Facebook page, and was viewed by 71,100 users, of which 6,255 people engaged with the post.
Commenting on the event GalaBingo's Karina Adrian said, "After the success of last year's Hatch of the Day game, we knew we wanted to bring it back - watching cute chicks hatch is the ultimate way to spend Easter Monday. We'll definitely be doing Hatch of the Day three next year!"
After the chicks hatched, they were given to the charity farm where they'll be raised.
