Cherry Subsidiary Game Lounge Purchases TodaysWeb

Internet marketing group Game Lounge (owned by Cherry AB) has announced the purchase of SEO group TodaysWeb for SEK 14 million.

The deal is being financed with cash and will see the Cherry subsidiary picking up more than 1,500 different websites as well as SEO tools and a staff that knows how to get the most out of the content on sites. No timetable of integration was available, but seeing as how there's no regulatory approval needed, it's likely that things will get underway very quickly.

Commenting on the deal Game Lounge CEO Jonas Cederholm said, "The timing of the acquisition is perfect as we are currently in a strong growth phase. We have previously announced our ambition to enter new verticals and this acquisition will accelerate our plans.

"I look forward to welcoming ten new members to the Game Lounge team."
