Paddy Power Betfair Self Exclusion Tool Gets Simplified

This story was published more than 6 years ago.

Paddy Power Betfair revealed that they've made it easier for punters to self-exclude themselves from the company's betting sites, allowing for players to simply click a button to stop betting there.

The company previously operated using a paper system, which required players to submit paperwork in order to self-exclude. This previous system had an 83% effectiveness rate, but the new system will aim to be higher. Now, punters can just click a few buttons via the group's websites or apps to self-exclude, which will block access to the site while also storing the information, sharing it with retail sites that the brand has.

Commenting on the launch of the new system Paddy Power's David Newton said, "We believe that this new process will make self-exclusion easier and quicker for our customers and hope that other retail betting-operators join us in providing this service."

The new product is being implemented now, and they hope that it will be available throughout the entire UK by the end of June.

Yeah that should be a useful option for the least some of them anyway...but it's the way it should be now...I can't believe that there was a paper document to exclude yourself before.
