This week Denmark's gaming regulator Spillemyndigheden revealed that the country's gaming revenues rose during the last quarter of 2017.
Key financial indicators for the fourth quarter ending December 31st, 2017 were:
- Gross gaming revenues for the period up 6.9% from the year prior
- Online betting revenues up 16.7% from the year prior, and up 5% from the third quarter
- Sports betting revenues up 29% from the year prior and the highest performing vertical in the country
The online revenues offset a decline reported by land casinos, which posted a 3.3% drop from the year prior.

Denmark is far away from being the largest gambling market in Europe but I think the punters are pretty solvent there and the reason for that huge rise in revenues could probably be found in some newly entered operators there but I'm just guessing about that.
