Internet betting group 888 Holdings has announced that they've signed an agreement to allow for it's 888poker brand to work with the One Drop charity group to support World Water Day.
The agreement will see 888poker hosting an online poker tournament which will help generate funds for One Drop's clean water access initiatives. The tournament will have a buy-in of $11.11 and a prize pool of $5,000, beginning today. One Drop has raised more than $20 million in safe water donations for projects around the world. It has previously worked with the World Series of Poker to put on large tournaments to raise funds.
Commenting on the agreement One Drop's Alexandre Meunier said, "This will be One Drop's first online poker tournament ever and we are confident that we have found another great ally in 888poker."
888 Holdings Guy Cohen also commented, adding: "Our new collaboration with One Drop is a great milestone for us here at 888poker. Supporting causes that improve the world we live in is an important part of our activities."

Nice initiative from 888, of course I would love to see this example being followed by other companies in the gambling sector too cause many of them could easily afford it with the enormous profits they gain every year.
