Lottoland and Irish Red Cross in Charity Agreement

This story was published more than 6 years ago.

This week online lottery group Lottoland has announced that they've decided to choose the Irish Red Cross as it's charity partner for 2018 and will donate funds to the group throughout the year.

The announcement will see Lottoland donating money to the organization, which will allow for the group to provide more services to those affected by emergencies in Ireland. The initial payout will come from all sales of this week's EuroMillion's lottery drawing and will help renovate the Red Cross ambulance group across Ireland.

Commenting on the agreement Lottoland's Graham Ross said, "This is our most ambitious CSR charity project in Ireland to date and our first full-scale partnership with a major Irish charity.

"In working together to plan the partnership projects, we've learned so much about the incredible work they do, particularly their huge volunteer base who give their time so selflessly for those less fortunate.

"As a disruptive digital technology company with innovation in its DNA, we are particularly excited to be working to generate funds for the digitisation of the ambulance fleet."

No doubt a great initiative from Lottoland even though they donating for charity every year, more of the gambling companies should doing that in a times where their profits are huge but we pretty rarely see a gesture like these from any of them.
