Internet betting group Betway has announced that they have signed an agreement to sponsor three eSports competitions this year, gaining exclusive marketing rights in the process.
The bookmaker will sponsor the ESL Intel Extreme Masters as well as the ESL One tournaments, with an additional tournament to be named later also coming. Betway will get exclusive naming and marketing rights, expanding on the company's prior eSports sponsorships. eSports have grown popular over the past few years, as viewers watch elite level video game players compete against each other.
Commenting on the deal Betway's Adam Savinson said, "We've already enjoyed an incredible amount of success over the past 12 months, becoming the first betting partner of CS:GO Pro League and ESL One Cologne, and we can't wait to build on this further. Following on from the success of our previous sponsorships, we will also be on the ground creating our iconic CS:GO content."
