Casinos in the world's largest gambling destination had a slower than expected growth rate in December, as VIP numbers in Macau were down, thus spurring a slower than normal expansion.
Many of the casinos located on the island were down today as it was revealed that the numbers were lower. It looks like the revenues sagged due to luck from VIP players, who dish out thousands of dollars per bet at the baccarat tables. Revenues for the month were up 15% to 22 .7 billion patacas, which was lower than the 17-20% projections from analysts.
Even though the numbers were down for the month, Macau's 2017 was very successful, with revenues surging 19% from the year prior to $33.1 billion.
Macau has 38 casinos, and is the biggest gambling destination in the world in terms of revenue. The spot is padded by lucrative VIP gamblers from China, who enjoy playing at the luxurious properties and participate in baccarat.
2018 is slated to be another big year for Macau, and Casino Listings News will keep players updated as we learn more about the gambling destination's success throughout the year.

Not too bad of a numbers for Macau this last year even though the last month of it didn't bring the predicted revenues. It obviously still was a great year for world's largest gambling destination which means land business is not dead at all, even growing globally.
Wow, the revenue of 38 casinos are great of $33.1. I want to know about the net profit after all costs 🙂
