Betway Will Continue to Sponsor UK Snooker Championship

This week gaming group Betway announced that they've opted to continue on as the title sponsor for the UK Snooker Championship tournament for the next three years, continuing an agreement that began in 2015.

The tournament is officially called the Betway UK Championship, and is seen as the second largest snooker tournament in the world. The agreement will see Betway continuing to get exclusive marketing opportunities as well as the naming rights.

Speaking about the deal Betway CEO Anthony Werkman said, "Continuing our sponsorship in snooker, and particularly with a top level event like the Betway UK Championship, is really important as we look to build on the strong growth we have achieved in recent years."

World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn added: "This year we celebrate 40 years of the UK Championship and remember the iconic moments that this marvellous tournament has produced. Now the players are writing a new chapter in the history of this event, and the eyes of the world are watching with a global television audience of over 400 million fans.

"The exposure for Betway's brand both in the UK and overseas is exceptional."

I can't think of a reason why Betway should stop their partnership with UK Snooker Championship.
Snooker as a sport is huge across UK,Europe and some parts of Asia which makes it the ideal partner for a bookie and the new deal is just a proof of that.
