Unibet Will Sponsor BLAST Pro Series eSports Event

Internet casino Unibet will be sponsoring the BLAST Pro Series eSports event, which will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark later this month.

The agreement will make Unibet the Exclusive Betting Partner of the tournament, which is being held for the first time on November 24th and 25th at the Royal Arena. Six eSports teams will compete in the First Person Shooter Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, with Unibet offering different odds on the events as the event goes down. No terms on the agreement were provided, but the event is a big one as there is a prize pool of $250,000.

Speaking about the agreement Kindred Chief Commercial Officer Ebba Ljungerud said, "The fresh ideas and new concepts that will be on offer at the event have been put together by RFRSH Entertainment with the players' and fans' front of mind. Sponsoring the first in the series of events demonstrates our commitment to professional sports and the recent deal RFRSH signed with the Esports Integrity Coalition supports our continued efforts to maintain integrity of the sport."

RFRSH Entertainment is the group running the tournament, and their Chief Commercial Officer Jordi Roig also commented, saying: "We always evaluate, which partners we bring in and how a partnership is activated as our focus is to renew and expand while paying full respect to the existing scene. On this basis and in general, we are very excited about the plans Unibet has presented to us and look very much forward to working with them to take esports and BLAST Pro Series a step further."

For sure more and more gambling giant brands are interested investing in eSports sector these days and Unibet is not an exception of that, don't see anything but growing in popularity in the next years.
