Internet betting group Gaming1 has been granted a Colombian gaming license which will allow the Belgian group to offer games in the country.

The licensing will allow Gaming1 to partner with Zamba.co to offer online casino games as well as sportsbetting services to Colombian players. The site will provide services via both desktop and mobile platforms. Gaming1 isn't limited to just Zamba.co, as the company will also be able to offer their services to other licensed sites in the future.

Speaking about the licensing Gaming1 CEO Sylvain Boniver said, "We are hugely proud to partner with Vicca Group in being awarded Colombia's first joint online casino and sportsbook licence, and are sure that Zamba.co will prove a hit with players across the country. Colombia is setting the benchmark in Latin America, with its robust regulatory framework similar to those seen in the European market, and to be the first to launch a combined casino and sportsbook underlines the strength of our approach."
