This week the Kindred Group (formerly Unibet) announced that they're working with gambling addiction specialists to improve their responsible gaming policy.
The company revealed that theyr'e working with specialists from CQUniversity Australia to find the best policies to protect their players. The researchers at the group are currently analyzing data of Kindred customers to see where problem gaming patterns may arise and where Kindred can improve detection. The current team of researchers include Michael Auer and Mark Griffiths.
The two researchers have put out several research articles over the years, pointing out that certain strategies such as time and stop limits are effective in stopping problem gambling behavior at the moment. The company is hoping that they're able to improve their responsible gaming practices on the site, and that the data is usable by other gaming sites.
No timetable for any findings or implementations was given, but it's likely that Kindred will update us when something is proposed by the research team.
