PokerStars Bringing Megastack Tournament to Atlantic City

Internet poker giant PokerStars has announced that they're bringing their popular live Megastack poker tournament to the Resorts Casino Hotel later this year.

The tournament will debut at the resort in October, running from October 6-8th. The tournament will offer more than $100,000 in guaranteed prizes across the various tournaments. The largest prize will be found in the Sunday Special, with more than $50,000 in money available. There will be multiple chances for playrs to earn buy-ins, including through PokerStars' regulated New Jersey online poker client.

Speaking about the tournament announcement Resorts Casino Hotel President and CEO Mark Giannantonio said, "We are excited to host the first-ever Sunday Special Live New Jersey, and we look forward to welcoming players to the property for an exciting gaming experience."

PokerStars Pro player Chris Moneymaker also spoke about the tournament, noting: "PokerStars Megastack is the perfect opportunity for players to enjoy a great live poker experience at an affordable buy-in to see if they can turn a Megastack into a mega prize. Players can expect an awesome poker experience and more importantly get together with friends to play poker while having fun."

The Megastack tournament was originally was offered at the Hippodrome Casino in the United Kingdom, and its success caused the launch to occur in the U.S.

That sounds really fun. Part of me would like to see the tournament, just a glimpse of their poker faces lol I am sure that some hotel visitors will be intrigued about this.

Yeah why not, Poker Stars can afford organizing whatever tournament they want and re bringing the Megastack poker should be success, I guess the prize fund could be higher though.
