For the first time in over a year a punter has struck the Slotland Progressive, taking home a large $315,122 cash prize in the process.
We are awaiting an official press release from Slotland that details the big win, but we can confirm that our tracker recorded the large jackpot win, The prize comes one year and two weeks after the next most recent hit, a $223,165 prize picked up by Samuel. The prize is also the largest in the jackpot's history, as it took so long for it to be struck.
The Slotland progressive is available to be won on all slots offered at the casino and grows with every non-winning spin. The jackpot is awarded randomly and can be hauled in with any bet size.
We will add the winning details as they're revealed.
UPDATE: We have received word on the win from Slotland, who informed us that the big winner is Debra J., a housewife. She hit the prize on the Open Season Slot, and had a lot to say about her win.
"Gosh, there's so many things I've dreamed of doing if I ever won like this!" she said. "We'll do some practical stuff, I guess, like put money aside for the kids, do some fixer uppers, pay some bills. But then we'll do some fun stuff too, like throw a party and spoil ourselves with some new goods. And I'd love to do a trip around the world!"
Slotland manager Michael Hilary also spoke about the win, noting: "Slotland's jackpot is hit more often than most, usually before it goes over $200,000. So I've been expecting it to be hit for awhile now - I never thought it would go this high!"
