Sky Bet to Sponsor Yorkshire County Cricket Club

Internet betting brand Sky Bet has announced that it has signed a sponsorship deal with England's Yorkshire County Cricket Club, becoming the group's Official Betting and Gaming Partner as a result.

The deal will have a three year term and will grant Sky Bet exclusive marketing rights including branding, hospitality, and ticketing opportunities. No details on the consideration paid were available as of press time.

Speaking about the deal Yorkshire CC Commercial Director Andy Dawson said, "Sky Bet is one of the UK's largest and most respected betting and gaming companies and their ability to innovate and push boundaries are important values we share. They are committed to helping us add to the matchday experience, whether watching at Headingley (Yorkshire's home stadium) or following via other digital platforms."

Sky Bet CEO Richard Flint also commented, adding: "Yorkshire has been our home ever since we were founded back in 2001 so we are thrilled to be backing our local team. It is an exciting time to get involved and we are looking forward to being part of Yorkshire's continued success on and off the pitch."

Well I guess it is a smart move since it will help to bring more attention to their brand. I am not a fan for cricket but I am sure there is audience for that.

Most of the best England players playing for Yorkshire so a huge investments have been made in the club already and this Sky contract will boost their budget even more so they would be something like a dream team of the Country cricket in UK and of course that automatically makes me fan of...all of the rest 😉
