Asian online betting group Kai-Fa Yule has announced that their K8.com site will sponsor Manchester City FC, becoming the club's Official Betting Partner in Asia.
The deal with start with the upcoming season, and will give K8 various marketing opportunities, including signage on digital boards surround the pitch. K8 users will also get access to prize drawings, including trips to watch the team play. K8 is based out of the Philippines, and has more than 15 million users. The deal will give Manchester City larger exposure in the Asian market.
Speaking about the deal City Football Group Senior VP Damian Willoughby said, "City has a growing and passionate fanbase in Asia and our commercial profile in the region continues to strengthen, supported by offices in Shanghai, Singapore and Tokyo. This partnership will allow City fans in Asia to interact with the Club in a new and exciting way and we're looking forward to working together."
K8's Michael McQuade added: "The Premier League is one of the biggest football leagues with a large audience and vast influence in Asia; this partnership is the perfect platform to promote our brand."
