Sweden's gambling market continued its healthy revenues during the first quarter of the year, bringing in SEK 5.4 billion ($622.5 billion) during the period.
Gambling numbers for the period ending March 31st, 2017 were:
- Revenues of SEK 5.4 billion, up 0.2%
- The country's lottery regulator Lotteriinspektionen had sales of SEK 4.2 billion from Swedish players, and SEK 1.2 billion from non-Swedish players
- Svenska Spel sales of SEK 2.16 billion, down 5% with land revenue down 9% but online revenues up 6%
- ATG stable sales of SEK 950 million, which is relatively flat
- Folkspel revenues down 10% to SEK 140 million
Sweden has a tightly regulated gambling industry, and the activity has proven to be extremely popular among its citizens. The revenues brought in each quarter seem to grow as the industry matures and replaces land destinations.

These news doesn't surprise me at all. Gambling is very popular right now and I can only see those numbers going more up in the future.
