The relationship between President Donald Trump and prominent casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson is reportedly on the rocks after the POTUS failed to appoint the POS's recommendations for posts in his administration.
Adelson and Trump have often been at odds with one another, but appeared to be coming together last year after the Las Vegas Sands owner donated millions to the Republican's presidential campaign as well as $5 million to his inauguration fund. Adelson was reportedly perturbed at Trump's ignoring of his suggestions of staff in his administration but was willing to stay the course. Things came to a head though when Trump failed to move the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, which pushed Adelson over the ledge.
That lack of action has seen Adelson stop donating any money to further the president's agenda, and furthering a feud may see the volatile leader going against any of Adelson's wishes. Could this result in him pushing for legalized online betting or for widespread sportsbetting? The answer is that nobody knows, but it'll be interesting to see where things advance in the coming months.
