This weekend a tragedy occurred in Cleveland, Ohio when a mentally deranged man killed an innocent elderly gentleman and then posted the video to Facebook. In a rambling video that he posted later, the suspect blamed his ex-girlfriend as well as a few casinos for his problems.
Steve Stephens was a counselor that helped youths in the foster care system find employment before he went nuts, and friends and associates all considered him to be well-balanced and friendly. Unfortunately, there appeared to be a darker side to Stephens' life, as he rambled on Facebook Live about how he'd gambled away all his money at the Jack Casino in Cleveland. That, combined with issues with his ex-girlfriend appeared to cause Stephens to snap, and he went on to murder 74 year old Robert Godwin, Sr, posting the video on Facebook.
In one of his videos Stephens said he reached a point last week where he "just couldn't take it anymore", and "just snapped".
Stephens is currently on the run from law enforcement, and the FBI is warning people that he could be anywhere in the country. Local law enforcement is looking for him in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New York.
Update: it has been reported that Stephens has committed suicide after being pursued by police in Pennsylvania.
It should be noted that if you think that you or someone you know has a gambling problem, you should get help for them. There are lots of free resources to get assistance, with some great options available here.

This guy is sick. I feel bad for the victim, obviously, but I also feel bad for him. It's pretty apparent he had some major issues that didn't get resolved before he snapped.
I hope they find him before something else happens.
The strange thing is that he posted that video and then he run out, usually murderers don't do that but yes obviously this guy is just nuts, like Justin said I hope they'll caught him before someone else being hurt.
That's crazy. You can't blame anyone for your actions rather than yourself.
It looks like some McDonalds workers found him, and the police were called. Guy killed himself after a short chase.
That's just so sick and crazy. Crazy, crazy people. I just really hate when people blame someone else / something else for their actions. You are responsible for your actions.
Seems like a logical end of that ridiculous story if I could put it that way, sorry if I'm rude but I think it's better this way before another innocent being heard.
You're not being rude in my opinion, I mean either that or possibly life sentence in prison.
